Croc! Rive interactive

Croc! Lost Giants to Living Legends

Littlebot Studio designed and built six interactive experiences for Croc! Lost Giants to Living Legends.

A key deliverable included a gamified experience to test your reflexes against an attacking crocodile, Ambush. The numbers are against you and the game serves more as a reminder to avoid a situation where you have to pit your reflexes against a crocodile.

Game design and UX was created by Littlebot Studio, and illustrations created by Sam Clark of Brightly Creative.

Rive in Production

Apart from a couple of individual online animations I've created in Rive as a more performant option to Lottie, this was my first deep dive into Rive. Littlebot Studio has traditionally used BrightSign technology for their interactives – a tried and true method with known workflows, production quality and on-site stability.

Getting Rive to work locally and offline on the BrightSign player provided more interactive flexibility than the more linear interactions of a traditional BrightSign workflow. With the best of both worlds, the Rive game was able to be driven by physical game buttons built into to the museum display.
